HM Government is actively considering the impact of rising bills on all aspects of people’s lives.

Defra is in close contact with animal welfare organisations and devolved nations and meets them regularly to understand issues and trends that are affecting the sector. This includes the impact of rising bills, such as pet food, on families with dogs, cats and other animals.

Sector groups are closely monitoring the current situation and identifying where more support will be needed. We welcome the support they are providing people during these difficult times.
