‘Admission and Care of Residents during COVID-19 Incident in a Care Home’ is the current guidance for the care sector and is live on gov.uk. This guidance sets out infection control and cohorting advice to care homes, which providers should follow to ensure that they have the confidence to receive and support residents.

We are currently reviewing and updating this guidance in line with recent policy changes and updates to other relevant guidance. We aim to publish the updated guidance shortly.

This is an unprecedented global pandemic and we continue to review our guidance in line with the latest scientific advice and emerging domestic and international evidence; this includes considering changes to infection control measures such as isolation and cohorting policies in care homes.
