Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what plans he has to issue a green paper on young drivers; and if he will make a statement.

I don’t want any young person to come to harm on our roads and will not rule out any measure that could save lives. This new Government will be looking at the best ways to improve road safety during this Parliament and beyond. At the moment we are focussing on technological and behavioural solutions.
