Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether he plans to reduce rates of VAT charged on particular goods or services after the UK has left the EU.

The government has committed to extending a zero rate of VAT to women’s sanitary products as soon as we are legally able to.

Future decisions on VAT will be taken as part of the normal Budget process.
