Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many areas will be involved in the badger cull in 2016; and what estimate she has made of the cost to the public purse of that cull.

Decisions on licence applications will be announced before the start of badger control operations. The cost will depend on the number of applicants authorised to proceed.
