Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what steps the Government is taking to ensure that police officers and PCSOs are prioritised for covid-19 testing in the event they are attacked by someone claiming to have that virus.

The Government recently announced the expansion of COVID-19 testing to more key workers, including the Police. The Department for Health and Social Care have now extended COVID-19 testing to asymptomatic NHS staff. We will therefore continue to work closely with them to ensure the Police are provided with the support they need.
