Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if he will make it his policy to prioritise research on dementia during this Parliament.

As part of the Challenge on Dementia 2020, the National Institute for Health Research, the Medical Research Council, and the Economic and Social Research Council will maintain their current collective spend on dementia research of over £60 million a year. Research spending has already doubled from a baseline of £28.2 million in 2009/10.
