Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether he plans to reduce the extent of the electrification on the Great Western Line.

As the Prime Minister recently stated, we are absolutely committed to electrifying the Great Western mainline to Cardiff and through to Swansea and are contributing £125million to the costs of the wider Valley Lines electrification scheme.
