Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what discussions he has had with nursing care providers on the number of clinical placements available for nursing students.

The Government, through Health Education England (HEE), commissions and funds the numbers of clinical placements assessed as required to produce sufficient healthcare graduates for the National Health Service. This includes placements for nursing students. HEE work closely with organisations providing education to ensure clinical placements are available, safe and provide the best possible education and training experience.
