Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, when the Admission and Care of Residents during COVID-19 Incident in a Care Home guidance document, version 1, published on 2 April 2020, will be updated.

Following publication of the Adult Social Care action plan on 15 April 2020, we are reviewing the ‘Admission and Care of Residents during COVID-19 Incident in a Care Home’ guidance which was published on 2 April 2020. We have included a placeholder on the gov.uk page so that stakeholders are notified that the guidance is being updated. This also includes a summary of relevant sections in the action plan for the most up-to-date guidance.

We are continuing to engage with stakeholders to enable them to feed into the updates to ensure that we answer the majority of their concerns. We aim to publish the updated admissions to care homes guidance shortly.
