Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what estimate he has made of the proportion of leasehold properties affected by contracts specifying the periodic doubling of ground rent.

The Government does not hold this information but is aware of this issue and is determined to act to address any abuses within the leasehold system.
