Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent discussions he has had with private sector providers on tackling the vacancy rate in the adult social care workforce.

We recently met with the provider reference group on adult social care to discuss workforce pressures and proposed reforms, which was attended by representatives from the sector. We also plan to meet with independent care providers shortly.
