Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the written answer of 16 September 2026 to Question 28822 on Shipping: Training, how many merchant ships currently participate in the Tonnage Tax Scheme; and if she will list the number of qualifying vessels by flag of registration.

Based on the information received from participating company groups, the last complete information available is for October 2025. There were 955 vessels within Tonnage Tax distributed as follows:
