To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what recent progress her Department has made on a sanitary and phytosanitary agreement with the European Union.

Negotiations with the European Union on a sanitary and phytosanitary agreement are at an advanced stage. This Government remains committed to concluding the agreement ahead of the next UK-EU Summit on 20 November.
