Defra recognises the significant impact of illegal waste dumping and fly-tipping on farm businesses. The 2025 Waste Crime Survey estimates that 57% of landowners and farmers have been affected by waste crime. Through the Waste Crime Action Plan, the Government is strengthening prevention and enforcement.
