Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, pursuant to the answer of 9 October 2026 to Question 20527 on Chinese Embassy: Construction, whether the National Cyber Security Centre will be directly undertaking the security mitigation works on the telecommunication cables by the new Chinese Embassy site at the Royal Mint.
As set out by the heads of MI5 and GCHQ, their view is that the development of the package of national security mitigations for the site has been “expert, professional, and proportionate”.
These mitigations will be subject to regular review through a cross-government process, led at senior level in the Home Office.
