The Health and Social Care Information Standards (Procedure) Regulations 2025 allow information standards made under the existing system to remain in place, until such a time as they are revoked, replaced, expire, or go through the prescribed procedures to become mandatory. That continuity will provide NHS England with the time it needs to review the existing standards and determine what should happen to them.
