Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what is the latest date currently to a Crown Court trial as a result of court backlogs.

The Government inherited a record and rising backlog. We know this means that thousands of victims, witnesses and defendants are waiting years for their day in court, and justice delayed is justice denied. As at 30 September 2026 (the latest available date), the furthest-listed Crown Court trial was scheduled for December 2030.
