Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, pursuant to the answer of 17 September 2026, to Question 28368, on Special Advisers, who line manages those Chief of Staff.

As per paragraph 5 of the Model Contract for Special Advisers (Performance management and appraisal) which can be found on GOV.UK, Special Advisers’ are subject to regular appraisal and review, with an opportunity to discuss that performance with their appointing minister and the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff.
