Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, if she has made an assessment of the effectiveness of the Waste Crime Action Plan.

Defra is working with the EA to strengthen monitoring and evaluation of the Government’s waste crime measures as they are developed and delivered. This includes improving the waste crime performance scorecard and developing an evaluation method for the Waste Crime Action Plan measures and the Prime Minister’s recent crackdown on criminal gangs.
