Around 1 million pensioner units across the UK have income from State Pension and state benefits only. Estimates are not available at geographical unit level.

Pensioners in Wales will see their State Pension income boosted via the Triple Lock which the government has committed to keep for the rest of this Parliament. This will see the new State Pension rise by over £2,000 over the course of the parliament and reach a forecasted record high relative to earnings.
