My Rt Hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, is chairing the National Maternity and Neonatal Taskforce to develop a national action plan that will reform maternity and neonatal services to deliver lasting change for women, families, and their babies.

The taskforce is currently considering a wide range of evidence and proposals to inform the development of the action plan, including the role of independent advocates.
