Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent discussions he has had with the insurance industry on whether British nationals will be able to claim the cost of repatriation flights on their travel insurance policies.

We are in regular contact with the insurance industry to understand the impact on them and keep the information on our travel advice pages up to date. The situation is fast moving, and our advice at this time is for British nationals to speak to their insurance company to discuss the options available to them.
