Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what steps she is taking to help upgrade the security of energy pipelines in order to build resilience to future threats.

The Government takes the protection of energy infrastructure incredibly seriously. We work closely with the National Protective Security Authority, the energy industry, regulators and other stakeholders to continually improve and maintain the security of energy infrastructure, ensuring it can safely operate and is resilient both now and in the future.

Building on this work, Government will publish an Energy Resilience Strategy in 2026, setting out the Government’s long-term priorities for maintaining and strengthening energy resilience across the UK.
