Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:
To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what steps she is taking to ensure that projects based in Wales receive an adequate share of the Green Heat Network Fund.
Projects in Wales became eligible for funding applications to the Green Heat Network Fund (GHNF) from Round 12 which opened in June 2026. The GHNF is a demand-led, competitive scheme for which £195 million a year has been allocated up to 2029/30. Heat network developers in Wales have the opportunity to apply for funding from the scheme, and their applications will be subject to the same eligibility criteria, and assessed on the same terms, as their counterparts in England – this includes access to pre-application support from our GHNF Delivery Partner.
