The National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP), managed on behalf of NHS England by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP), is a rolling programme of audits.

HQIP announced in May 2015 a new process to prioritise the clinical care areas which are covered by NCAPOP. This builds on increasing engagement between HQIP, the National Advisory Group for Clinical Audits and Enquiries, and the funding bodies (NHS England and the Welsh Government) to shape an overarching strategy for the programme.
