Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he plans to support local authority sexual health services in the event that public health funding is not increased as part of the spending review.

Public health funding for 2020 onwards, including for sexual health services, will be considered carefully in the next spending review, in the light of all the available evidence. Local authorities have been mandated to commission comprehensive open access sexual health services and are best placed to understand and meet the public health needs of their local communities.
