Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he has made an assessment of the potential effect on the delivery of local authority public health services of not increasing public health funding in the next spending review; and if he will make a statement.

Future funding for local authorities’ public health responsibilities will be considered carefully in the next spending review, taking full account of the available evidence.
