Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what steps his Department is taking to reduce the amount of manual processing on paper that it carries out and to make such processing digital.

The government is committed to providing services that are digital by default - reducing paper and manual processing, reducing cost and improving user satisfaction. HM Treasury is currently reducing the manual processing of paper in finance and HR processes as part of a project to replace our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
