Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what data her Department holds on the number and proportion of people with Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis diagnosed following an A&E attendance, emergency hospital admission, or emergency surgery over the past 12 months.

The Department does not hold the specific information the Hon. Member has requested, but on the wider issue of diagnosis and treatment for these conditions, I refer him to the answer provided on 27 May in response to Question 2655.
