Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many (a) NHS and (b) social care staff have died from covid-19 since the start of the covid-19 outbreak.
This question was answered on 13th July 2021
The Office for National Statistics’ data shows that 639 deaths among healthcare workers and 922 deaths among social care workers aged 20 to 64 years old, using last known occupation involved COVID-19 were registered between 9 March 2020 to 7 May 2021.
