The Government is committed to ensuring all children living with epilepsy in England have access to effective epilepsy services.

NHS England is responsible for securing and supporting high quality outcomes for people with epilepsy, and the vast majority of services for people with the condition are planned and commissioned by local clinical commissioning groups from their respective budgets.

Once diagnosed, and with a management strategy in place, the majority of people with epilepsy can have their epilepsy controlled satisfactorily with anti-epileptic drugs, and be cared for through routine access to primary and secondary care.
