There have been no discussions between the Secretary of State and the Mayor of London on reforming the law to give Transport for London the power to cap the number of private hire vehicle driver licences. The Mayor has recently written to the Secretary of State for Transport requesting this reform as part of a wider package of measures. We will respond to him on this and the other matters raised in due course.
