Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many occasions the ministerial board on workforce has met since it was created; if he will provide a summary of discussions and decisions taken by that board; and if he will make a statement.

The Workforce Steering Group, which was chaired by the then Minister of State for Health (Rt. hon. Philip Dunne MP), met four times over the course of 2017. This group discussed issues such as the equality and diversity of the National Health Service workforce, the quality of leadership and the supply of nurses.
