Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what (a) number and (b) proportion of Child Support Agency cases are known to concern a non-resident parent who is (i) self-employed and (ii) a director of a private company.

As at December 2014, there were 102,3001 (7.5%) live cases where the non resident parent was self-employed.

Information on the job title of non-resident parents is not routinely recorded for management information purposes and could only be provided at disproportionate cost.

Note:

1. Data sourced from CSCS and CS2 computer systems. Employment status is not available for cases managed off system.
