The railway projects are:

Great Western 223 route miles

North West 116 route miles

Electric Spine including East West Rail 155 route miles

Midland Main Line 170 route miles

West Midlands 15 route miles

Transpennine 73 route miles

Welsh Valleys 126 route miles

Gospel Oak – Barking – Thames Docks 15 route miles

These are rounded estimates of route miles and exclude the four route miles of electrified railway between Barnt Green and Bromsgrove authorised in the previous Government’s July 2007 rail investment strategy (HLOS).
