Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to ensure that patients have more access to their healthcare data.

On 22 June, the Department published a draft strategy for health and social care which puts forward our vision to bring people closer to their data and understand how that data is used. This includes making sure that the technology is in place to enable everyone across England to have easy access to their own health and care data and to view which research their data has informed.
