Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what evaluation his Department has made of the Job Services Australia model for classifying jobseekers; and what consideration he has given to the introduction of that model in the UK.

The Department has undertaken one study adapting the claimant profiling approach currently used in Australia and is documented in the published report DWP Working Paper 116 (2013).

We are exploring segmentation as a way to modernise service delivery and ensure we have the most effective support for all groups.
