The government is fully committed to the Civil Society Strategy: it is the beginning of an ambitious, evolving work programme to help build a strong society. As part of this, the Centre for Ageing Better published its ‘Review of Community Contributions in Later life’ on 18th October 2018.

Based on the findings of this review, DCMS is now working in partnership with the Centre for Ageing Better on the Age-Friendly and Inclusive Volunteering Fund announced in November 2018, to stimulate and test new approaches to sustain lifelong contribution. Successful grantees will be announced in March 2019.
