Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many students entered training to become a (a) nurse, (b) midwife and (c) GP in England in each of the last five years.

The number of students who started nursing and midwifery courses over recent years are shown in the following table.
