Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department is taking to ensure immediate postpartum contraception is made available in all maternity settings as part of service restoration in a covid-19 recovery context.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, some maternity units introduced successful pilots of immediate postnatal contraception to support contraceptive choice and minimise the number of face-to-face appointments a woman receives.
