As part of the Department’s ‘no deal’ European Union exit medicines supply contingency planning, a tender process to procure additional warehouse space to store stockpiled medicines within the mainland United Kingdom, including ambient, refrigerated and controlled drug storage, was undertaken in October 2018.

Contract agreements for additional storage capacity have now been signed with three companies. There are no outstanding contracts still to be signed.
