Like all UK Government Departments, the Northern Ireland Office faces a significant reduction in its budget in the 2015-16 financial year. That is why my department requested an impact statement of all of its Arms-Length Bodies on the measures that might be taken by them to meet a proportionate share of the necessary reduction. No final decisions have been made in respect of the Commission’s budget, but we are currently working with it in light of its impact statement.
