Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many deaf British Sign Language users over the age of 65 were diagnosed with dementia after being admitted to hospital as an emergency inpatient in England in each year since 2009.

Data on the proportion of people over the age of 65 diagnosed with dementia after being admitted to hospital as an emergency inpatient in England in each year since 2009 is not available as we are unable to determine whether a patient was diagnosed after being admitted to hospital including British sign language users.
