Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, pursuant to the answer of 7 July 2026 to Question 13824 on Summer Internship Programme, how many and what proportion of people who applied to the 2026 Civil Service summer internship scheme were rejected on the basis of not having a qualifying working class background.

We will be publishing data on the Fast Summer Internship recruitment campaign in our 2026 Fast Stream Annual Report. This is the same approach as was taken in the previous administration.
