Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, what discussions officials from his Department have had with representatives of (a) the Code Operators and (b) the Speed up Britain Campaign on the Electronic Communications Code.

My Department's Barrier Busting Task Force is conducting a series of workshops involving key stakeholders from across the telecoms industry to discuss the need for better working relationships in relation to the Electronic Communications Code.

Ministers and officials engage regularly with the telecoms industry and other key stakeholders on a range of issues. However, it would not be appropriate to have conversations with stakeholders about reforms to the Electronic Communications Code while the responses to the consultation on that issue are being considered.
