Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, what support he is offering Birmingham City Council to help maximise business rate retention.
Through the Trailblazer devolution deal with the West Midlands Combined Authority, the Government has agreed to 10 years of 100 per cent business rates retention arrangements in Birmingham from 2024-25, offering certainty in funding over the longer term to support economic growth.
