The Department expects to make an announcement shortly on its proposed next steps in relation to the Law Commission’s report on level crossings. It is currently considering all the recommendations in the Law Commission’s report on taxi and private hire regulation in England and Wales against the backdrop of a rapidly changing industry and will formally respond to the Law Commission and announce its intentions once this scrutiny is completed.
