Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what review his Department has carried out of operating assumptions and how in practice the speed and quality of personal independence payments decisions are affected by those assumptions.
We are continually monitoring the PIP end-to-end journey and, along with our providers, we are taking forward various initiatives to improve overall PIP processing times, while also maintaining a strong focus on the quality of PIP decisions.
We are monitoring and evaluating these actions and will continue to look for opportunities to introduce further initiatives as appropriate.
