Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many people have made claims for personal independence payment following a stroke in the UK since April 2013; and how many have received a decision from his Department.
The available data on claims to Personal Independence Payment was published on 5 June 2014 and is available here - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-official-statistics-june-2014. Information on the numbers of successful new claimants is available against a range of conditions, including neurological conditions which will include those who have had a stroke. The information is published and can be found at: https://stat-xplore.dwp.gov.uk
Guidance on how to extract the information required can be found at: https://sw.stat-xplore.dwp.gov.uk/webapi/online-help/Stat-Xplore_User_Guide.htm.
